It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Alma Page, a devoted supporter, faithful board member, and cherished member of our Putnam County Fair family.
Alma served on the Fair Board for 24 years and dedicated 19 years to the 4-H Food Booth, ensuring continued service to WV 4-H programs and the youth of our community.
Her commitment made a lasting impact on our fair and on generations of families.
And yes- her cinnamon rolls truly were the best. They welcomed volunteers early, fueled long fair days, and became a sweet tradition so many will always remember.
We extend our deepest sympathy to the entire Page family during this difficult time.

Ernest and Alma Page devoted many years to the Putnam County Fair and Putnam County 4-H. I am thankful for their years of service, dedication and impact on my life.

Winter on the fairgrounds…❄️
Cold hands. Heavy equipment. Muddy boots.
Even when the fair feels far away, the work never stops. From moving scales to tackling winter projects, our volunteers show up giving their time, muscle, tools, and resources to keep things moving forward.
This place runs on dedication, even in the off-season, and we’re incredibly grateful for the folks who step up when no one’s watching. 🫶
